Project Description
Beau Sejour Leisure Centre on the island of Guernsey, contacted GSS to help provide them with an alternative flooring system for their very busy changing and Shower facility adjacent to their two swimming pools. It needed to be a very durable, slip-resistant and decorative finish to replace the old failing vinyl floor coverings.
These were mechanically removed and the underlaying tiled floor was prepared using rotary grinding machinery.
A 150mm high resin cove detail was formed around all the perimeter walls and columns.
Epoxy primers and levelling screeds were applied, prior to a five-colour, decorative PVA flake topping. This was then sealed with UV-stable, slip-resistant seal coats.
