Otherworld, London’s new, exciting and innovative social entertainment concept, asked GSS Flooring to provide a completely white, resin floor system in their new premises in Victoria.

The existing substrate was a raised tiled access floor, so the specification had to be a highly flexible resin system to allow for potential movement from the substrate. We specified Altro’s flexible resin comfort floor and preparation works started on the tiled floor, using diamond bladed floor grinders.

Two applications of Altro Proof, two-component epoxy primer were applied, prior to the trowel applied, 2mm, self-smoothing, polyurethane flexible resin application.

This was then sealed with two more white seal coats and a UV stable clear resin seal coat to protect the applications beneath. The seal coats were incorporated with a fine polymer bead to increase slip resistance under foot.

This solvent-free resin system is ideal for both commercial and domestic environments. Available in many colours, it is a perfect floor system to give a seamless, poured resin finish with a modern look.
